How This Site Stays in Sync

Rose Hound's site is built so you update content in the place that makes sense — not here twice. Here's where each section pulls from:

  1. Shows — pulls live from Bandsintown. Update your tour there; the site follows automatically.
  2. Music — embeds your Spotify release directly. Update Spotify for Artists; the site follows automatically.
  3. Merch — links to your Square Online store, with optional featured items you enter here (name, price, image, and link) since Square doesn't offer an auto-embed on your plan.
  4. News — this one has no natural "existing platform," so it's managed right here in the News tab.

Full setup instructions for each are in SETUP-GUIDE.md, and quick-config forms are under each section's tab in this sidebar.

Once connected, your Bandsintown dates appear automatically — nothing to manage below. Add dates on Bandsintown itself. Until connected, the manual list below is shown as a backup.

Open your release in Spotify → Share → Copy Link. This auto-embeds cover art, full tracklist, and a playable preview — no manual tracklist entry needed.

Once a Spotify link is saved, the fields below are unused as backup only — shown if the Spotify embed is ever removed.

Linked to your Square Online store.
Square Connection

Shows a "Shop All Merch" button linking straight to your live store. This works immediately with zero extra setup.
Featured Items (optional)

Want specific products to show as real cards on the site — not just a plain button? Since Square's share option only gives a page link (not an embeddable snippet on your plan), fill in each item manually below. It only takes two things from your live Square store:

  1. Open the item's page on your live Square store, click Share, copy the Product URL
  2. On that same page, right-click the product photo → Copy Image Address (Chrome) or Copy Image Link (Safari/Firefox) — paste that as the Image URL

Name and price won't update automatically if you change them in Square — just update them here too when that happens.

Site Settings
Hero content, contacts, social links.
Hero Section
If your uploaded assets/hero.jpg file isn't showing up on the live site, paste a direct image link here instead — it always overrides the file. Any hosted image URL works (Imgur, Google Drive shared image, Square, etc.).

On by default to match the album cover's grungy, high-contrast look. Turn off to show your hero photo in full color.

Connect Sanity so News, Shows backup, Music backup & Settings sync across every device.

Sanity Connection

Without this, News/Settings/backup content is saved only in this browser. Connecting Sanity moves it to one shared place so any logged-in bandmate, on any device, sees the same content. Full walkthrough in SETUP-GUIDE.md.

From Sanity → Settings → API → Tokens. This lets the admin panel write content. Keep it private — don't share this token outside the band.
Sanity Schema (Optional)

Only needed if you also want to browse/edit content directly inside Sanity's own Studio interface, in addition to this admin panel. Not required for this admin panel to work.
